With a high strength to weight ratio plastics are used extensively in this industry as a replacement for steel, concrete and timber. High performance plastics are used for pipes, valves, flooring, load bearing framework, and building insulation as well as for bridges, car parks and wharves – and also for parts in the heavy machinery that builds them.

All products are extensively tested and able to operate under harsh wear and even extreme thermal conditions. Our “Extreme” materials offer the advantages of all plastics: helping to reduce weight and a substitute option – due to their high specific strength – to other materials like bronze, cast iron and welded steel.

Cement/paving moulds that give some flexibility to allow for de-moulding. Very durable.
LEP provides bearings for bridge spans, car-parks, and buildings. Manufactured from a combination of PTFE, rubber and steel they allow for thermal expansion an rotation.
UHMWPE Tivar 88 auger trough liner provides reduce wear and friction, minimising the adhesion of conveyed materials. It also reduces noise and energy costs.
These ‘J bars’ are a proprietary LEP Engineering Plastics product which we supply to NZ’s largest timber mills. Designed and manufactured from polyurethane to be strong enough to convey timber but soft enough to minimise damage.
