nylon LFX is a greenish-coloured, oil-filled cast nylon 6 which is totally self-lubricating. This internal lubrication has been especially developed for use in applications that rely on unlubricated, highly loaded and slow-moving components, with the result that nylon LFX has considerably enlarged the application possibilities of standard cast nylons.
Because of its self-lubricating properties, nylon LFX exhibits a coefficient of friction that is 50% less than standard cast nylons, and has a wear resistance that is up to 10 times greater. nylon LFX retains all the other physical properties which make cast nylons so effective in a wide variety of applications.
It features very high mechanical strength, good creep resistance over a wide temperature range, excellent sliding and machining properties and dimensional stability.
Temperature range: -20°C to +100°C (-20°C to +70°C in water)
